Storegra Gård at Tjore in Grimstad has roots going back to the 1200s and to Stone Age settlements with cultivation more than 5 000 years old. The family-run farm combines tradition and innovation: nearly 30 years of deer farming in Kalveskogen — 230 mål (about 23 hectares) of oak woodland — Aberdeen Angus cattle on 100 % grass feed, and moose from Austre Nape in Fyresdal. Since 2013 the farm has grown gluten-free oats for AXA under a strict three-part crop rotation with manual inspection.
