Bygland Bryggeri is a local microbrewery in Bygland municipality in Setesdal, founded in 2017 by brewer and entrepreneur Torkjel Austad. Production takes place in an industrial building at Austad. The brewery brews in the traditional way, using among other things kveik (Norwegian farmhouse yeast) and juniper twigs from Austadheia. A proud custodian of Norwegian brewing traditions, it calls this innovation with tradition. Setesdalspils is the flagship, and the brewery also produces several other local beer styles, as well as a sake collaboration (Rannei Sake).
