Midtskog Tradisjon og Gårdsmat in Løkken Verk, Orkland, is run by Nina and Frank Harald Harm. Since 2013 they have combined Highland cattle farming, hand-made chocolate (Belgian Callebaut), traditional food and rosemaling (traditional Norwegian decorative painting). They raise their own Highland cattle on their own farm and offer every cut to order. Their signature range, the Thamsriket collection, consists of six unique types of chocolate inspired by the mining history of Løkken Verk. Nina bakes traditional potetlefse (soft potato flatbread) and flatbrød (crisp flatbread) from inherited recipes, and the farm caters for everything from confirmations to weddings (from NOK 200 per person). Production and collection take place at the farm — there is no permanent shop.
