Tessas Eplegård lies at Nedre Børve in Sørfjorden in Hardanger, in an area with long traditions of fruit growing. The farm dates from 1864 and is run with a background in biology and a philosophy that respects the diversity of species on the farm. They sell apple juice and honey directly from the farm and offer a subscription to 3-litre Bag-in-Box organic apple juice with monthly distribution in Oslo, including through the REKO rings in Oslo and Hardanger. In summer the stabbur (traditional storehouse) and the loft above the woodshed are rented out as accommodation, and the outdoor area by the eldhus (old cookhouse) has a licence to serve local cider.
