Bønes Gårdsmat was started by Rune Bønes in 2003 at Bønes Gård and is based at Bønesstranden in Bergen. The business processes meat and makes, among other things, sausages, cold cuts, cured meats and pinnekjøtt (salted lamb ribs) by hand, using only fresh Norwegian meat and no mechanically deboned meat. It has received several awards, including Norwegian champion in Christmas sausage 2023 for its Pinnekjøttpølse and Norwegian championship gold 2022 for Ekte Servelat. It has its own farm shop with the full product range, fresh eggs from Fana, vegetables and bread from its own bakery; the products are otherwise available in grocery shops in Vestlandet through the wholesaler Godt Lokalt.
